Colin Braun Calls On Activ8 Communications For Fan Interaction
Camping World Truck Series driver Colin Braun is the latest young talent to join Activ8 Communications in order to better reach his growing fan base.
21-year-old Braun was the 2008 Raybestos Rookie of the Year in the Truck Series. With two races remaining this season, he sits fifth in the point standings with one win, eight top-five and 13 top-10 finishes, with plans of moving full-time to the Nationwide Series in 2010.
"I want to be able to reach my fans and stay in touch with them. I feel like Activ8 was the best way to do that," Braun said. "I have a busy schedule with traveling and racing, and I don't always have all of the time that I need in order to do that. Activ8 will help a lot."
Braun joined Activ8 Communications in order to take advantage of the company's Branding Services, Fan Club Management, and Social Media execution; including Facebook, Twitter and blogs. The Social Media aspect allows fans to interact with their favorite driver and allows for contests and giveaways including, but not limited to, autographed hats and photos.
Activ8 will also facilitate all of Braun's digital media promotions, including his personal website.
Based in Mooresville, N.C., Activ8 Communications is a full service public relations and marketing firm owned by veteran Sprint Cup Series spotter Mike Calinoff.
"Colin brings a lot to Activ8. We offer many services and he came to us with the concern that he wasn't interacting with his fans enough. With more races next season as he moves to the Nationwide Series, he'll have even less time to manage everything on his own. Activ8 will be the medium between Colin and his fans. We're happy to have him on board," Calinoff said of the addition of Braun.
