Colin Braun shot to the top of the leaderboard during Friday's second practice at Chicagoland Speedway. After 32 laps around the Joliet, Ill., speedway, Braun posted at lap time of 30.465 seconds (177.253 mph). In the first practice early Friday morning, Braun was 14th fastest. Qualifying for the Dollar General 300 powered by Coca-Cola begins at 3:05 p.m. CDT (4:05 EST) and the green flag drops at 7 p.m. CDT (8 p.m. EST) Friday. The race will be covered live on ESPN beginning at 6:30 p.m. CDT (7:30 EST).
